EXPLORE THE ART COLLECTIONS

LOVE

The Black Love Collection features portraits of intimacy, devotion, and love that when nurtured, doesn’t grow old but grows deeper.

Prayer painting titled Letting Go of Why by Devia Wynn. A stylized portrait of a Black woman in profile, eyes closed, resting in quiet surrender. The background is a deep black with gold and copper frame accents. Text below reads a prayer about letting go and trusting God, paired with Isaiah 43:18: “Do not dwell on the past. I am about to do a new thing.” A deeply spiritual image about healing, grief, and release.

LOSS

Portraits of grief, faith, and release—art that honors loss while opening space for healing and new beginnings.

LEGACY

Dollar bills become canvas—Every layered dollar is an unpaid debt—owed to those who planted seeds they’d never get to harvest. The economic data collaged in this series aren’t just figures--they’re receipts.

Black t-shirt featuring the words “GRAND DADDY I MADE IT” GRAND is vertically stacked in bold white text while daddy sits on top in brown lettering. "I Made It" is enclosed in brown bar beneath. Modeled by a joyful older Black couple, the design celebrates intergenerational love, gratitude, and the legacy of elders who paved the way.

KINFOLK COLLECTION

From soil to skin, brown holds stories.
Brown is more than pigment — it’s presence.
The presence of those who stood in the gap.
Grandparents, Aunties, Uncles..the kin who stepped in when they didn’t have to. This collection honors the quiet strength that shaped generations.

Every wear is a witness. Every stitch is a story. Ours.

REDLINED COLLECTION

Redlining didn’t just redraw maps.
It redefined neighborhoods, rerouted futures, and restricted generations.

  • In 1915, Black landowners in the South held less than one-tenth the wealth of their White counterparts.
  • A century later — in 2013 — the story hadn't changed much.
  • The median Black net worth was just $17,000.
  • For White families, it was $170,000.

That’s 10 cents to every White dollar.

My paintings, Tithe and Dime froze that truth in time —

  • The latest 2022 data shows the numbers have shifted,
    but the imbalance persists.
  • The median Black family now holds $44,900.
  • White families: $285,000.

About 15 cents to the dollar.

If the last hundred years brought 10 to 15 cents...What will the next hundred bring?

They drew lines. We drew strength.
They boxed us in,
but couldn’t box out our brilliance.

ROI COLLECTION

RETURN ON INVESTMENT (ROI)

Return on Investment is more than numbers.
It’s the proof that
sacrifice bears fruit.

SACRIFICE

  • The price paid upfront — in labor, struggle, and love.
  • Time, energy, and dreams invested with no guarantee but hope.

Every generation makes deposits.
Some in dollars. Most in sacrifice.

Our parents and grandparents invested what little they had so we could gain more than they were given. One invested in dignity. Another in education. Another in faith.
We are the dividends of their sacrifice.

RETURN
The harvest that follows — measured not only in wealth, but in resilience.
Education, opportunity, dignity, and joy passed forward.

One generation invests. The next generation multiplies.
